Jets Trade Zach Wilson to Broncos

Ex-No. 2 Overall Pick Headed to Denver

Wilson Departs New York After Three Seasons

The New York Jets have traded former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos in a late-round pick swap, according to reports. The move comes after Wilson struggled to meet expectations in New York, failing to live up to the hype that surrounded him when he was drafted.

Wilson's tenure with the Jets was marked by inconsistent play and injuries. He started 29 games over three seasons, completing 55.6% of his passes for 5,976 yards, 39 touchdowns, and 23 interceptions. The Jets went 11-18 with Wilson as their starting quarterback.

The Broncos, meanwhile, have been looking to add a quarterback to their roster after trading away Russell Wilson last offseason. Wilson will likely compete with Brett Rypien for the starting job in Denver.
